What Damages Can I Recover From a Takata Airbag Lawsuit?

Who Will Compensate Me for My Takata Airbag Injuries?
In 2018, Takata reached an agreement with the US Department of Justice to plead guilty to failing to disclose critical information that could have saved lives and prevented serious injuries.
As a result, the company was ordered to pay a total of $1 billion in criminal penalties. This amount included $975 million for restitution and a $25 million fine. From the restitution funds, approximately $125 million would go into compensating individuals who have suffered physical injuries due to Takata's airbags and have not yet settled with the company.
