Jami Leigh Chalgren is a skilled criminal defense attorney based in Tampa, working with Morgan & Morgan. With nearly a decade of experience, defending clients in both trial and appellate courts, including representing death row inmates at all stages of their cases. Notable achievements include two first-degree homicide acquittals and arguing cases before the Florida Supreme Court.
Graduating summa cum laude from Truman State University and cum laude from Barry Law School, Jami was a moot court honors member and a semifinalist in the Robert Orseck Moot Court Competition. As a certified legal intern during the last semester of law school, Jami tried several criminal cases, vigorously defending her clients and earning the Hardball Award for client advocacy—the only intern to receive this honor.
