Meet Michael J. Carter

Michael J. Carter is a trial attorney in Morgan & Morgan’s Orlando office, where he focuses on medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, and personal injury litigation. He has been practicing law in Florida since 1988 and is a member of both The Florida Bar and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Carter earned his J.D. cum laude from Stetson University College of Law, where he was awarded First Place in the ATLA Mock Trial Competition, inducted into Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, and the Order of the Barristers, and received American Jurisprudence Awards in Criminal Law and Construction Law. He holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice, magna cum laude, from the University of Central Florida, where he later returned for further coursework in the Legal Environment of Business. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor.

With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Carter brings strong trial advocacy skills and a deep understanding of medical and corporate negligence to each case. He is committed to holding healthcare providers and institutions accountable and securing justice for the injured.
