Bret C. Gainsford

Bret C. Gainsford's legal journey is deeply rooted in his South Florida upbringing. He embarked on his academic pursuits at the prestigious University of Florida, where he graduated with honors, majoring in Political Science. His passion for law led him to Vanderbilt University Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree, solidifying his foundation in legal expertise and scholarship. Following his legal education, Mr. Gainsford returned to his Florida roots and commenced his legal career at a prominent national defense firm. During this tenure, his practice primarily centered on products liability and e-discovery, honing his skills in complex legal matters and litigation strategies.

However, in a pivotal shift in 2010, Mr. Gainsford transitioned his focus to advocating for individuals and families affected by asbestos-containing products. This marked a significant turning point as he began representing plaintiffs in claims that he once defended, showcasing his dedication to seeking justice and righting wrongs. Today, Mr. Gainsford holds the esteemed position of Of Counsel to the Firm, where he leads the Asbestos and Mesothelioma practice group with expertise and compassion. Outside of the legal realm, he cherishes spending quality time with his wife, two young children, and their beloved canine companion, balancing his professional dedication with cherished family moments. His involvement in various community organizations, such as the Central Florida Gator Club and the Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation, reflects his commitment to making a positive impact both inside and outside the courtroom.
