Meet Michael David Marrese

Mr. Marrese spent 10 years in Chicago as a personal injury and medical malpractice attorney and is now based in Jacksonville, Florida. He remains licensed in both Illinois and Florida. He has been a member of the Illinois Bar since 1991 and the Florida Bar since 2002. Over his career, he has tried numerous catastrophic injury cases, securing multiple verdicts between $4 million and $6 million.

Mr. Marrese is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer—a distinction that places him among the top 1% of all trial lawyers in Florida. According to the Florida Bar:

“Board certified lawyers have met The Florida Bar’s highest standards for special knowledge, skills, and proficiency in various areas of law, as well as professionalism and ethics in the practice of law. Certified lawyers’ experience and competency have been rigorously evaluated, and they are the only Florida lawyers allowed to refer to themselves as specialists or experts or to use the letters B.C.S. to indicate Board Certified Specialist.

No matter how much experience a lawyer may have in civil trial, only board certified civil trial lawyers are allowed to identify themselves as specialists or experts in this area of law.”

Over his 35-year legal career, Mr. Marrese has secured numerous seven-figure verdicts and settlements, including five exceeding $5 million. He has tried more than 100 civil cases across six states and countless counties, handling matters ranging from auto and trucking accidents to medical malpractice. Today, he focuses his practice on trucking litigation.
