Karla Reyes

Karla M. Reyes hails from Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Orlando is home to Ms. Reyes, where she’s lived for over 35 years. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2005, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in legal studies. Ms. Reyes graduated from Stetson University College of Law in 2009. For the last 15 years, Ms. Reyes worked for the people, representing those facing criminal charges who were unable to afford an attorney in state and federal courts. Apart from six months at the start of her career where she worked in West Palm Beach, the entirety of her career has been in Orlando, Florida.

While she was a public defender, she tried over 100 jury trials to verdict and litigated countless pretrial motions. Ms. Reyes thrives in the courtroom and in the high-stakes environment of litigation.  Ms. Reyes considers herself a lifelong student and enjoys perfecting her craft. She obtained her LLM in trial advocacy from her law school alma matter in 2022.  Transitioning from public defense to Morgan & Morgan is a perfect match for Ms. Reyes, where she will continue to work for the people.
