Biography Overview
Michael W. Smith is an attorney in Morgan & Morgan's Orlando office. He is a native of South Carolina but has spent the last thirteen years in Central Florida. He graduated from Florida State University in 2000 with a degree in Russian Language, then earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2003.
Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Mr. Smith worked as a trial attorney for two of the largest law firms in the Southeast, representing national banks and lenders in heavily contested litigation involving federal and state consumer protection statutes. He is also an accomplished appellate attorney, having briefed and argued dozens of cases on appeal.
Since transitioning to Morgan & Morgan, Mr. Smith focuses his practice on personal injury and civil trial litigation, using his past trial experience to fight for those injured by the negligence of others.
