Meet Evan Schmidt

Evan A. Schmidt is an attorney in Morgan & Morgan’s downtown Orlando, Florida office. Mr. Schmidt joined Morgan & Morgan’s personal injury practice in February 2024, where he focuses on helping victims of personal injuries sustained in automobile accidents. Mr. Schmidt is admitted to practice throughout the State of Florida.

Prior to Joining Morgan & Morgan, Mr. Schmidt gained experience at a civil defense firm defending cases involving commercial transportation and automobile accidents. Prior to entering civil litigation, Mr. Schmidt was a State Prosecutor in Orlando for the 9th Circuit. Here, he gained valuable trial experience, worked closely with victims, and quickly rose up the ranks where he prosecuted cases for the Special Victim’s Unit (SVU), Felony Domestic Violence Unit, and the Animal Cruelty Unit (ACU).

Born and raised in Florida, Mr. Schmidt is from Miami, earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminology from the University of Florida, and earned his law degree from Barry University, Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law. Mr. Schmidt was the Treasurer for Barry’s Student Bar Association and a member of many other organizations. Mr. Schmidt was an active member of the school’s Nationally recognized Trial Team, competing in competitions across the country.

In his spare time, he enjoys scuba diving and playing basketball.
