Biography Overview
Steven Overbay is a Medical Malpractice Attorney born and raised in Orlando, Florida, with a strong commitment to serving his community. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Central Florida before going on to receive his Juris Doctor from Barry University, where he was recognized with several book awards for earning the highest grades in his class.
Steven began his legal journey at Morgan & Morgan as a law clerk during law school. There, he had the privilege of learning under seasoned trial attorneys Jack Cook and Kevin Butler, whose mentorship left a lasting impact on his development. Working closely with them, Steven gained firsthand experience in every phase of litigation, from initial client meetings to complex trial strategy. He observed the power of compassionate yet aggressive representation and learned that preparation and purpose are essential to making a real difference in people’s lives. That experience didn’t just teach him how to be a lawyer, it showed him what kind of lawyer he wanted to be: one who stands up for the injured with integrity, empathy, and relentless dedication.
With an unwavering focus on client advocacy, Steven approaches every case with empathy, strategic insight, and a deep sense of responsibility to help victims and their families find the justice they deserve.
Outside the courtroom, Steven is a devoted family man, engaged to his fiancée of eight years and proud father to a 12-year-old son. He’s a die-hard Florida Gators fan, a passionate airplane enthusiast, and a wildly optimistic golfer whose swing is best described as “aspirational” and whose short game could legally be considered a hazard, though he claims he's just keeping the game interesting.
