
Biography Overview
Alyssa Mendoza is a passionate personal injury attorney at Morgan & Morgan, based out of the Riverside office in Jacksonville, FL.
After graduating from The Bolles School here in Jacksonville, she earned her Bachelor of Arts from New York University with a concentration in Legal Theory and Social Inequality. With that desire to pursue justice, Alyssa went on to Fordham University School of Law, where she excelled in oral advocacy during her time on the Moot Court Board.
Following law school, Alyssa began her fight “for the People” as an Assistant District Attorney at the Queens County District Attorney’s Office in New York City. Alyssa had the privilege of prosecuting a wide range of high-stakes cases, including assault on police officers, vehicular homicide, and murder. In the Homicide Bureau, Alyssa investigated and solved cold case homicides using her certification in Forensic Investigative Genetic Genealogy. Throughout her time as an ADA, Alyssa brought a significant amount of cases to guilty verdicts after completing jury and bench trials.
Her experience in the criminal justice system gives Alyssa a unique perspective on personal injury law, where she now advocates for individuals who have been harmed by negligence and wrongdoing. She understands the long-term impact that an injury can have on someone’s life, both physically and emotionally.
