Albert H. Lechner

Trial Attorney

Since the third grade, Albert knew he wanted to be a trial attorney. The son of German-Austrian immigrants, he was taught early the value of hard honest work and brings the highest standards to every case, no matter how big or small.

With over 90 trials under his belt, Albert is a highly experienced courtroom litigator. He has obtained numerous jury verdicts in excess of $1 million, with most verdicts substantially exceeding the defendant's final settlement offer.

He is regularly sought out by other attorneys to serve as co-counsel in trials throughout the Southeast and teaches trial techniques to other lawyers in continuing education programs. Albert was Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, the highest ranking given by the Florida Bar and a designation bestowed on less than 6% of all active lawyers. He has tried over 100 cases to verdict. He also holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available by this national attorney peer review rating service signifying recognition by his peers for the highest ethical standards and legal ability.

He believes trials are the purest form of democracy where citizens who have never met come together for a common purpose, requiring the ultimate in integrity to prevail and provide justice.

A Maryland native, Albert graduated from the University of Maryland and cum laude from University of Baltimore Law School, where he served as editor of the School's Law Review, an honor reserved for the top 10% of the class. After law school, he completed a judicial clerkship for four circuit court trial judges and became a partner at a prestigious plaintiff's personal injury law firm in Maryland before relocating to Jacksonville Beach in 2007.

Outside the courtroom, Albert enjoys golf, fishing, wing shooting and surfing, activities he often shares with his two children. Please contact Albert directly at (904) 417-4158 or lechner@forthepeople.com.
