Biography Overview

Cortney Hicks is a personal injury attorney in the firm’s Jacksonville office. Mr. Hicks was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. After graduating from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, he relocated to Jacksonville, FL, to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming an attorney.

While attending Florida Coastal School of Law, he was inducted into the award-winning Moot Court Honor Board and Mock Trial Team. In law school, he served as the President of the Black Law Student Association, Vice President of the Mock Trial Team, and treasurer of Phi Alpha Delta Law fraternity. Mr. Hicks is one of the last recipients of the James A. Richter Humanitarian Service Award which was established to reward students for their devotion to the promotion of human welfare and reforms.

During law school, Mr. Hicks joined Morgan and Morgan in 2019 and worked several positions at the firm before becoming an attorney. He prides himself in excellent communication skills and results. Currently, Mr. Hicks represents individuals injured as the result of someone else's negligence. His ultimate goal is to ensure his experience and resources maximizes the recovery for his clients.
