Born and raised in Tampa, Mr. Prieto graduated from Tampa Catholic High School in 1993. Soon thereafter, Mr. Prieto received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Criminology from Florida State University.

Mr. Prieto attended Stetson University College of Law where he completed a State Judicial Internship before receiving his Juris Doctor Degree in 1999. Upon graduation, Mr. Prieto worked as a State Prosecutor for Hillsborough County under Harry Lee Coe and Mark Ober, prosecuting cases ranging from criminal traffic violations to major drug offenses.

Subsequent to his tenure as a prosecutor, Mr. Prieto joined the law firm of Prieto, Prieto, & Goan where he successfully defended criminal matters, as well as, represented countless injured clients as the result of negligence. Mr. Prieto was the managing partner of the First Party Litigation Department that encompassed disputes arising from insurance companies’ refusal to properly reimburse insurance benefits on behalf of their insureds.

Throughout his legal career, Mr. Prieto has been lead counsel on countless trials involving both civil and criminal matters. Today, Mr. Prieto is employed in the First Party Litigation Department of Morgan & Morgan where he represents the interest of thousands of insureds across Florida.

Mr. Prieto is admitted and qualified as an attorney before The Florida Bar and The U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida
