On March 30, 2023, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Jetson Electric Bikes LLC has voluntarily recalled all Jetson Rogue 42v self-balancing scooters/hoverboards after it was discovered that the scooter's lithium-ion battery packs can overheat, posing a fire hazard.According to reports by the CPSC, there have been multiple reports regarding the recalled Jetson Rogue 42v self-balancing scooters/hoverboards. Including accounts of burning, sparking, or melting, several of which involved reports of flames, and in Pennsylvania, it was determined that a Jetson Rogue scooter/hoverboard was the point of origin for a fire that killed two children.
