My Little Steamer Recall Class Action

Joy/JM-branded My Little Steamer and My Little Steamer Go Mini, manufactured by Ingenious Designs LLC, of Ronkonkoma, N.Y. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of HSN since 1999), have been recalled, pulling 5.4 million units off of shelves across the U.S and a further 14,300 in Canada. The recall was issued after numerous incidents and reports that the My Little Steamer products had caused significant harm to its user.

There were 227 reports filed with the HSN after customers had used the steamer and experienced hot water spraying or leaking from the steamer. These reports included 106 burn reports. Eight of these were second-degree burns, and six were third-degree burns.

  • How Can You Identify the Recalled My Little Steamer Products?

    Each of the recalled My Little Steamer products have either a flat or triangular steamer head, and on the side of the product, the name is printed.

  • Can I Receive a Refund for the Recalled Steamer?

    HSN has advised its customers to immediately stop all use of the My Little Steamer products. Consumers are entitled to a refund or voucher for the recalled steamer; however, this depends on certain factors. 

    For units purchased between January 2018 and December 2020, consumers are able to obtain a full refund. Purchased units between January 2015 and 2017 can receive a partial refund, and any unit purchased before 2015 is entitled to receive a voucher. 

    For more information on how to claim your refund or voucher, the HSN requires you to directly contact them, where they can provide assistance.
