Craftsman Lawn Mowers Recalled After Injury Hazard Concerns
When you purchase a product to use from a well-established brand, you expect the organization responsible for production to have taken the proper safety measures when designing and manufacturing products. Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case, and oftentimes severe and considerably damaging injuries can be inflicted on users and bystanders.
On April 17, 2019, the walk-behind lawn mower Craftsman M350 was recalled by its manufacturer, MTD Products Inc of Cleveland, Ohio, due to the potential hazard it presents to those using or near the use of the product. It is believed that there is the potential for sharp objects collected through the lawnmower to pierce through the collecting bag and strike either the user or any bystanders. While no injuries have yet been reported, there is concern that injury could be sustained.
If you own a craftsman M350, the MTD urges you to stop all use immediately and seek a free repair at an approved Craftsman Service Center. The MTD has confirmed that all known purchasers of the lawnmower have been directly contacted. If you haven’t received confirmation of the recall, it’s essential to prohibit all use and seek assistance, ensuring you and your loved ones remain safe and free from harm.
If you have suffered an injury and, as a result of that, financial impact due to the defects of the Craftsman M350 lawnmower, it can be a serious situation leaving you with short-term, long-term, or potentially lifelong injuries. Injuries such as these can not only affect your physical well-being but mental well-being, ability to work, and high medical costs, too.
Where products are dangerous and cause harm, those responsible for the manufacturing of the product have acted negligently and should be held liable for any suffering experienced by the victim.
