Over the last decade, millions of vehicles around the world have been recalled due to defective airbags. The most recent recall involves certain frontal driver and passenger airbag inflators manufactured by ARC Automotive Inc. and Delphi Automotive Systems LLC. An investigation conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) found the airbag inflators are defective and pose a hazard to drivers and passengers on the road. These airbag inflators have been installed in vehicles from multiple auto manufacturers, including the German multinational manufacturer BMW.
