ALDI Recalls Deep Fryers Due to Multiple Burn Injuries

Back in 2018, from February to March, the nationally-known grocery store ALDI sold deep fryers manufactured by the Chinese company Guangzhou Linkco Electrical Industries Limited for only $15. Unfortunately, customers would soon learn that this fantastic deal was really too good to be true. Due to the malfunctions of the deep fryer, the element would overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. Since the sale of these kitchen gadgets began, there had been three reports of the deep fryers catching on fire—including three reports of minor property damage.

How Do I Know if My ALDI Deep Fryer Was Recalled?

This recall, numbered #18-152, involves the Ambiano mini deep fryer, which was sold in two colors, brushed stainless steel and red. The recalled deep fryers all have a black lid and were sold with a metal food basket. The fryers also measure about 9.45 inches wide by 10.43 inches high by 8.23 inches deep. These units have Ambiano printed on the front, and you can find the barcode numbers listed on the bottom of the unit, right on the silver rating label. If you believe you may be in possession of an Ambiano mini deep fryer, please check for the following barcode numbers:

  • Stainless Steel Ambiano Mini Deep Fryer: 20072483
  • Red Ambiano Mini Deep Fryer: 20072490

If you purchased a deep fryer but are unable to find the barcode on the machine, you may still be eligible for compensation through a bank statement or purchase receipt. How Can a Defective Product Attorney Help Me?

When consumers purchase a product, they expect that it’ll work as intended—not that it would injure you. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. Whether it’s an explosive deep fryer, a faulty car engine, or an inadequate cell phone, sometimes, when these products fail us, they cause harm. When that happens, you deserve compensation for your injuries, and these manufacturers need to be held responsible for the harm they’ve done. That’s where we come in.

When you decide to hire one of our defective product attorneys, they will get right to work on your injury case. After reviewing your initial case information, your attorney and team will then proceed to gather and review any documentation that could be relevant to your case, such as police reports, your medical bills, medical records, or anything that may be vital for your case. Your attorney will also work with medical experts and may attempt to recreate the incident to ensure you have a strong claim for your defective product injury case.

Your attorney will also notify the manufacturers in charge of producing the faulty product that Morgan & Morgan is now representing your case. Then, your attorney will reach out to the other party to try and settle your case outside of the courtroom. If the case negotiations turn out to be unsuccessful, your attorney and legal team are more than prepared to represent you in the courtroom.
