    Overtime Pay Law in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania overtime law states that employees must receive time-and-a-half compensation for hours worked in excess of 40. There are certain employees who are exempt from overtime pay, but for those that are non-exempt, they are in their legal right to be paid their overtime wages.

    Minimum Wage in Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania minimum wage is $7.25 per hour, effective July 24, 2009. Employers with at least 10 full-time workers are subject to Pennsylvania minimum wage law.

At Morgan & Morgan, our lawyers help workers who were paid less than the minimum wage by filing lawsuits against their employers to recover compensation for unpaid wages. Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), all employees must be paid at least the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour.

However, there are several cases where employers may mistakenly or intentionally pay workers less than the minimum wage.

If you were not paid the minimum wage for all hours worked, contact Morgan & Morgan today by filing our free case review form. Our attorneys may be able to help you file a lawsuit to recover compensation for your unpaid wages. While each case is different our wage and hour attorneys have recovered millions on behalf of workers who were denied proper pay.
