NCB provides corporate clients with accounts receivable management solutions designed to decrease outstanding accounts receivable. NCB also purchases debt from other companies, including Bank of America. The NCB data breach affected approximately 500,000 individuals, exposing personal information including:

- Phone numbers

- Employment positions

- Driver's license numbers
- Account numbers

What Happened?
In February 2023, NCB discovered unauthorized access to its computer systems that housed client information. NCB conducted an investigation and determined that an unauthorized third party may have obtained the personally identifiable information of ~500,000 individuals.
NCB began notifying affected individuals on March 24, 2023. According to NCB, confidential client account information maintained by NCB was potentially compromised. The information involved may have included details about credit card accounts individuals formerly had with Bank of America. Likely NCB has this customer information as a result of buying credit card balances from Bank of America.
