After police were notified of the accident and later located his 2011 Dodge Durango SUV. The 26-year-old Bush was taken to Charlotte County Jail and was held without bail. Bush allegedly has had previous DUI-related accidents in Arizona and California.
Bush’s arrest came just hours before another major league pitcher, Red Sox reliever Bobby Jenks, was arrested for a similar offense. Jenks allegedly hit two cars while leaving Babe's night club in Fort Myers, drove onto a sidewalk, and was eventually charged with DUI, three counts of DUI with property damage, and hit and run.
