    The laminate flooring products sold by Eternity is intended to provide a low-maintenance, affordable alternative to hardwood floors. Laminate flooring has an average lifespan between 15 and 25 years, depending on the quality of flooring and installation.

  • What Problems Are Being Reported With These Laminate Flooring Products?

    Families who have installed these laminate flooring products intended for them to last for years, but may need to undergo costly and inconvenient removal and reinstallation, because of a shocking discovery made by 60 Minutes. The show exposed one company's cost-cutting practice of purchasing laminate flooring from Chinese mills known to have dangerous levels of formaldehyde in their products.

    After 60 Minutes uncovered that, we discovered that Eternity Flooring has also sold Chinese-made laminate flooring that has unsafe levels of formaldehyde. Laminate flooring manufactured or supplied by this company may also have been sold through Wayfair, Walmart, and perhaps other entities.

    Exposure to formaldehyde gas in your home has been found to result in an increased risk of cancer.

    Formaldehyde exposure is particularly harmful for small children, the elderly, and those with respiratory diseases like asthma, but exposure has the potential to harm anyone. The most common health effects associated with formaldehyde exposure include breathing problems and eye, nose, and throat irritation.

    What’s worse, exposure to formaldehyde gas in your home has been found to result in an increased risk of cancer. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control found that formaldehyde emissions from Chinese-made laminate flooring sold resulted in an increase of 6 to 30 cases of cancer per 100,000 persons.
