Recently, Facebook announced improvements to its chat feature that could potentially make all other messaging apps obsolete.

They’ve introduced Messenger Codes, similar to Snapchat’s snapcodes, which look like a series of dots and dashes surrounding a person or business’s profile picture. All you have to do to add someone as a contact and start a chat with them is scan their code.
