What Are Rhino Deck Composite Decking Products?
Rhino Deck composite decking products are used to create outdoor decks. Rhino Deck products are supposed to provide a low-maintenance and high-performance alternative to wood. The products are advertised as resistant to rot, splitting, splintering, and structural damage caused by fungal decay and pests, due to their recycled wood and polyethylene plastic composition.
What Problems Are Being Reported with Rhino Deck Products?
The Rhino Deck composite decking products are intended to require less maintenance than standard wood decking, because they are made from wood-alternative products. However, it is believed that the plastic binder that covers the recycled wood fiber was not properly formulated and applied, causing the composite decking to suffer UV degradation, absorb water, and age prematurely.
