Why are Wegovy Manufacturers Being Sued?
Numerous lawsuits have been filed against Novo Nordisk, the manufacturer of Wegovy. These lawsuits allege that the plaintiffs suffered gastroparesis from continuously using this drug for weight loss. Now, all fingers are pointing toward the use of semaglutide in the product.
The biggest issue here is that the manufacturer of this product knew about the effects of semaglutide. However, despite having this knowledge, they did not disclose it to consumers. If they had done so, many of these consumers would not have experienced such serious side effects. That’s because they wouldn’t have bought the product in the first place.

What Is Semaglutide?
Semaglutide refers to a medication that belongs to the class of drugs known as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists. This drug treats Type 2 diabetes and obesity by mimicking the effects of the GLP-1 hormone in the body, which regulates blood sugar levels and appetite.
What Are the Risks Associated With Using Semaglutide?
While semaglutide is considered generally safe, it does have some side effects. The most common are nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
