Biography Overview

Brittney S. Eakins joined Morgan & Morgan in March 2023 in the firm’s Jackson, Mississippi office. She focuses primarily on personal injury and automobile accident litigation.

Ms. Eakins was born in Slidell, Louisiana and grew up in the Mississippi coastal town of Kiln, Mississippi, known as “The Kill.” She began her legal career working for a small, general practice firm for four years while pursuing her undergraduate degree from The University of Southern Mississippi. She went on to attend University of Mississippi School of Law. After graduating in 2019, Ms. Eakins served as judicial law clerk to Mississippi Supreme Court Justice David M. Ishee. She then joined the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office where she served as Special Assistant Attorney General in the state’s Criminal Appeals and Civil Litigation divisions.

Ms. Eakins is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Mississippi Bar. She also serves as a board member of Mississippians Against Human Trafficking, a non-profit organization formed to facilitate collaboration with regional task forces, law enforcement, victim service providers, medical providers, and state agencies actively engaged in the fight against human trafficking. She also volunteers with Mississippi Therapy Animals, a non-profit devoted to facilitating therapy visits in various settings, including emotional support for child victims and vulnerable adults while testifying in court.
