Biography Overview
H. Xavier Carrera, originally from Quito, Ecuador, moved to South Florida after high school to further his education. He attended Florida Atlantic University, where he earned a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. After college, Xavier worked as a manager for a large retailer, quickly rising through the ranks. His passion for helping others and his desire to make a greater impact led him to pursue a career in law. He relocated to Orlando to attend Barry University School of Law, where he was an active member of the Moot Court Honors Board, competing in national appellate advocacy competitions and serving as Vice Justice of the board during his final year.
After graduating from law school and being admitted to the Florida Bar, Xavier began his legal career as an immigration attorney at a private firm in Lake Mary, Florida. He later joined a statewide firm based in South Florida, where he managed their Orlando office. During this time, Xavier represented clients in mortgage foreclosure defense, immigration law, family law, and civil litigation. He then transitioned to the firm’s insurance recovery group, advocating for homeowners with property insurance claims.
Now focused on premises liability, Xavier continues to zealously advocate for his clients, bringing his diverse legal background and dedication to every case. Fluent in Spanish and French, he prides himself on helping a wide range of clients. In his free time, Xavier enjoys spending time with his wife, their dogs, and playing soccer.
