Biography Overview

Professor Rourk is an attorney and professor. Professor Rourk engages in the general practice of law and an eDiscovery attorney. She has practice experience in small business formation, non-profit incorporation, as well as criminal and family law.

She is currently admitted to practice law in the Tennessee Supreme Court and local circuit and chancery courts throughout the state of Tennessee. Professor Rourk has held memberships with various legal organizations, including the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Tennessee Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar Association. She has participated in various pro bono legal clinics and has been recognized by the Louisiana Supreme Court, Louisiana State Bar Association for her pro bono assistance provided through a legal clinic to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina obtain clear title to their properties as well as other succession law matters.

Professor Rourk received her Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee State University and her Juris Doctorate from the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law.
