Biography Overview

Renee Cook was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois. She attended Northern Illinois University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then obtained her J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in Indiana, in only two and a half years. Following law school, Ms. Cook was a prosecutor with the Winnebago County States Attorney’s Office for seven years. In that role, she was a first chair for several bench and jury trials in the Felony drug unit.

She moved to Jacksonville Florida due to her husband’s employment in 2013. Ms. Cook is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Florida and practices in the firm’s Complex Litigation Department in Jacksonville. She serves as point person on E-discovery issues in complex national cases. Ms. Cook is on the Board of ACEDS, the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, while exploring Florida’s natural habitat.
