Melissa Dean is a dedicated Attorney based in Orlando, FL, with a fervent commitment to justice and community service. Graduating from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies and two undergraduate certificates in Trial Advocacy & Litigation and Criminal Law & Individual Liberties, Melissa discovered her passion for advocacy early on. As a member of the Mock Trial Team and mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters, she cultivated a deep commitment to serving her community and advocating for those in need.

Melissa was awarded a full academic scholarship at Barry University, Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law. She held numerous leadership roles, including positions in the International Law Students Association and the Student Bar Association, where she effectively advocated for student interests. During her last year, she engaged in extensive legal research on pressing public policy issues, including the implications of COVID-19 on contract and tort liabilities. Her dedication to service extended beyond the classroom as she interned with the Orange County Legal Aid Society Guardian ad Litem, solidifying her commitment to serving vulnerable populations. Despite the obstacles of earning a law degree during the pandemic, she graduated early and became a member of the Florida Bar in 2021.

In her professional career, Melissa began as a Litigation Associate at a boutique Personal Injury firm in South Florida, where she gained invaluable experience specializing in automobile collision, premises liability, negligent security, and trucking cases. With a passion for justice and a relentless drive, Melissa has always represented the injured against insurance companies, advocating zealously for her clients' rights.

Beyond her legal practice, Melissa is actively involved in legal organizations, demonstrating her aptitude for leadership and promoting justice within her community. She served as Secretary for the Treasure Coast Justice Association and Committee Chair for the Young Lawyers Section of the Martin County Bar Association. In early 2023, she was honored to represent the 19th Judicial Circuit on the Board of Governors of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division. Melissa a founding member of the Psychedelic Bar Association, where she contributes invaluable insight to the Litigation & Advocacy and Legalization & Regulation committees as a personal injury attorney. She also serves as the Strategic Coordinator for the non-profit organization, Decriminalize Nature Florida, Inc., advocating for statewide drug policy reform and civil rights.

Outside of the office, Melissa enjoys cross-stitching, exploring local kava bars, and attending live music events. However, her greatest joy comes from spending time at home with her two cats, Boba Tea & Dreamsicle.
