Lance DeWolf Stephens is an associate attorney at Morgan & Morgan. Mr. Stephens is a dogged and patient litigator, ready and willing to take on the most complex cases and the most recalcitrant defendants to ensure that his clients are appropriately compensated. Mr. Stephens has experience helping individuals through complex legal proceedings in personal injury, premises liability, criminal, civil litigation, constitutional and election law, commercial litigation, appeals, and extraordinary writs. His experience includes client intakes, interviews, pleading, motion practice, oral arguments, taking and defending depositions, negotiations, seeking and obtaining extraordinary writs such as habeas corpus, jury selection and trial.
Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Lance was an associate at The Andrews Law Firm, a small civil rights focused law firm in Tallahassee; he served as an Assistant Public Defender in Liberty and Gadsden Counties in the Florida panhandle where he represented clients accused of crimes in appellate, circuit, and county courts. Starting out right after law school Mr. Stephens served as a judicial staff attorney in Florida circuit courts where he was responsible for advising circuit judges on every aspect of ongoing civil litigation including managing dockets and preparing orders. Mr. Stephens attended college at the University of North Florida with B.A.s in Philosophy and English Literature. He attended the Florida State University College of Law, graduating with a J.D. in 2017.
