The third of four siblings in a military family, attorney Kevin Berry lived many places growing up, but he spent his formative youth in Huntsville, Alabama and considers himself a Huntsville native.
Immediately upon passing the bar exam in 2002, Kevin was hired by the law firm where he clerked throughout law school, Southlaw, P.C., a well-respected plaintiffs law firm. The majority of his caseload was devoted to workers’ compensation litigation, however he also litigated personal injury matters such as motor vehicle accidents, premises liability cases and medical malpractice cases, in addition to social security disability claims.
Kevin went into private practice in 2006, opening his own law firm in downtown Birmingham. He opened his Gardendale office in 2010. He returned downtown after joining Morgan & Morgan’s Birmingham office in May of 2017. Kevin distinguished himself in the field of workers’ compensation law, having been selected as President of the Workers’ Compensation section of the Birmingham Bar, as well as President of the Workers’ Compensation section of the Alabama Association for Justice. He is slated to take over as President of the Workers’ Compensation section of the Alabama State Bar in 2021. His experience litigating so many injured workers’ cases within Alabama’s rather unforgiving workers’ compensation system provided him with valuable experience toward assisting his personal injury clients. Personal injury litigation has become the primary focus of his practice.
Kevin is a former member of the Huntsville Rugby Club, former Scoutmaster for Troop 283 in Morris, Alabama, and served on the Board of Directors of Gardendale Christian Academy. He enjoys staying fit, hunting, traveling, cooking, Alabama football, and most of all, spending time with his family - wife Bethany, children Cole and Sarah Frances, and stepchildren Anna Grace and Ethan.
