Trial Attorney
850-876-7806

A native of Mobile, Alabama, Ms. Childs earned a bachelor of arts in Political Communication from Louisiana State University. Upon graduating law school, she began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida prosecuting criminal cases from investigation to jury trial. She then worked as a Senior Attorney with the Department of Children and Families in the Fourteenth Circuit prosecuting child welfare cases in Bay County Dependency Court.

After relocating to Pensacola, Ms. Childs opened her own law firm focused on criminal defense and family law matters. She also worked for a local legal aid firm battling for justice for indigent clients and victims of domestic violence in bankruptcy, landlord-tenant, probate, divorce and child custody matters. Ms. Childs was also a court-appointed attorney ad litem, ensuring the rights of children residing in foster care.

Just prior to joining the team at Morgan & Morgan, Ms. Childs was employed with a premier insurance defense firm specializing in premises liability, general liability and casualty, insurance coverage, fraud, and first party property cases. After becoming disenchanted with working for big insurance, she decided to go back to her roots and fight for the people instead of corporate interests. She is ready to fight for you.
