Rebekah "Bekah" K. Salas Mercer was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree from Baylor University, where she was recognized by faculty as the Outstanding Student in the Political Science department for the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 academic years. Bekah was an effective advocate in Baylor University's moot court team, wherein she qualified for Nationals multiple times and was recognized as a top national speaker.  She graduated from Baylor University, summa cum laude, with a 4.0 GPA, in 2017 with a degree in Political Science (B.A.) and a minor in Business Administration.

Thereafter, Bekah attended Stanford Law School, where she was an active member of the Stanford Christian Fellowship, the Stanford Latino Law Student Association (SLLSA), and the Stanford Law Naturalization Pro Bono Project. While in law school, Bekah worked as a student attorney for Stanford Law's Religious Liberty Clinic and served as an associate editor for the Stanford Law & Policy Review.

Upon graduating law school in 2021, Bekah clerked for a federal judge in the Northern District of Texas (2021-2022), followed by a clerkship on the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (2022-2023).

After working for an international firm, Bekah joined Morgan & Morgan's Complex Litigation Group, focusing her practice on class action lawsuits, particularly those involving data privacy and cybersecurity issues.
