Adam Heisner, J.D. is a Premises Liability Attorney with Morgan & Morgan, P.A. in Fort Myers, FL. His experience as both a public defender and personal injury attorney has seen him fighting for the underserved throughout his career. A former Commander with the United States Army, Mr. Heisner’s thorough and hard-nosed litigating style has helped clients win cases, protect against medical liabilities, and assure financial well-being.
Mr. Heisner began his legal career with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, where he published legal orders, maintained treaties compliance, and helped the judiciary establish rules of evidence in Afghanistan. His dedication and leadership earned him the Bronze Star Medal and a General Letter of Commendation.
His military service led to a role as an Assistant Public Defender for the 20th Judicial Circuit, working for clients with minimal resources and limited knowledge of the legal system. He assisted with more than 1,200 cases and litigated dozens of jury trials and hearings, advocating for the most vulnerable.
Today, Mr. Heisner practices personal injury law with an emphasis on premises liability litigation. Hired by Morgan & Morgan for his trial experience, he isn’t afraid to take the defense to trial and litigates nearly half of all cases. He also continues to represent the underserved by taking on select cases pro bono.
In his spare time, Mr. Heisner serves as an Intelligence Officer with the Army and is a frequent guest lecturer at the Ave Maria School of Law, lecturing on ethics, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Business Planning.
Mr. Heisner is a member of the Florida State Bar, the District of Columbia’s Bar, the Federal Bar for the Middle District of Florida, and the Lee County Bar Association. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Ave Maria School of Law and holds an MBA and BA in Economics.
