Wilton Reassurance, also known as Wilton Re, has indicated that an unauthorized actor gained access to its data systems containing customers sensitive information between May 29, 2023 and May 30, 2023 through the use of the MOVEit transfer tool used by the company’s third-party service provider, PBI Research Services. Wilton Re discovered this intrusion on June 7, 2023 and has reported that almost 1,500,000 customers had their personal data compromised due to this data breach.
