The following product recalls have been announced this week—make sure you’re in the know.

 

Cosco Jump, Spin & Play Activity Centers
Cosco Jump, Spin & Play Activity Centers have been recalled following reports of malfunctions leading to injury. These baby activity centers have straps that can detach or break while a child is sitting in the device. The recall follows reports of 38 minor injuries.

 

Toyota Highlanders
Toyota is recalling 751,000 of their 2020-2023 models of Highlander and Highlander Hybrid vehicles due to an issue with mounting tabs on the vehicles’ bumpers that could cause parts to detach while driving. 

 

Toyota RAV4 SUVs
Toyota is recalling nearly 1.9 million RAV4 small SUVs in the U.S. to fix a problem with vehicle batteries that can move during forceful turns and potentially cause a fire. The recall covers certain RAV4s from the 2013 through 2018 model years. 

 

Multiple Vehicle Recalls
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued multiple recalls last week for more than 937,000 vehicles. A full list of recalled vehicles can be found here.

 

Bobcat Lawnmowers
Doosan Bobcat North America is recalling a line of Bobcat- and Kubota-branded stand-on zero-turn lawnmowers due to a laceration injury and crash hazard caused by a specific defect. The dampers installed on the steering system of the mower can prevent the control levers from returning to the neutral position and the Operator Presence switch will not activate and stop the engine and blades, posing crash and laceration hazards to the operator or bystanders.

 

Olympus High Flow Insufflation Units
Olympus High Flow Insufflation Units are being recalled due to issues of the units over-inflating air into the body without warning, causing serious injury or death. There have been 21 malfunctions, 10 serious injuries, and one death.

 

Jeep Wagoneers
Jeep is recalling Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer due to inaccessible or damaged seat belt buckles. The affected vehicles were produced between February 24, 2021, and September 11, 2023, at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant in Michigan.

 

Grizzly Industrial Wood Lathes
Grizzly Industrial and Shop Fox Wood Lathes are being recalled due to laceration and injury hazards, if the wood lathe’s cutting tool breaks.
