The following product recalls have been announced this week—make sure you’re in the know.

Brassica Pharma Eye Ointments

Brassica Pharma is recalling four eye ointment brands, including two eye ointments from Equate, which is a Walmart brand, and eye ointment brands from CVS Health and AACE Pharmaceuticals, with expiration dates ranging from February 2024 to September 2025. The company said there is a potential risk of eye infections or related harm for patients who use these products due to sterility concerns at a manufacturing facility.

 

Mercedes-Benz 2020 – 2023 GLE 450 and GLS 450 Vehicles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced the recall of more than 105,000 Mercedes-Benz vehicles, including 2020 through 2023 GLE 450 and GLS 450 cars, after the discovery of a software issue that could cause the SUVs to stall and increase the risk of an accident.

 

2023 – 2024 BMW Vehicles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced the recall of more than 79,600 BMW vehicles due to brake issues. The integrated brake system may not work correctly, causing power brake assist to be lost. It can also cause the antilock brake and dynamic stability control systems to malfunction. The recall affects 2023 and 2024 models, among them X1, X5, X7, and XM SUVs as well as some 5- and 7-series sedans.

 

Bulldog, Machir, Moutec, and Awesafe Gun Safes

Gun safe brands Bulldog, Machir, Moutec, and Awesafe have recalled more than 120,000 gun safes due to faulty biometric systems. Some of the locks on the safes are not properly secure, allowing them to be opened by unauthorized users.
