Firm Launches Western New York Presence Led by Local Veteran Joe Morath

[Buffalo, NY] – Morgan & Morgan, America’s largest injury law firm, is officially open for business in Western New York. The firm has recently launched operations in Buffalo and is actively litigating cases from its temporary downtown hub. Now, it has announced plans to open its office in 50 Fountain Plaza, led by powerhouse trial attorney and Buffalo native, Joe Morath.

“With our latest expansion, we are making sure that every injured person in Buffalo has a local champion with the resources of a national firm behind them,” said Morgan & Morgan founder John Morgan. “Buffalo is a town built on grit and hard work, and that’s exactly what Joe brings to the table. We wanted to bring in a leader who has the Queen City in his DNA. We’re not just bringing a business to the city; we’re leveling the playing field for the little guy against insurance companies and powerful corporations.”

Joe Morath is a highly respected attorney with deep roots in the Buffalo Community. He’s a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the New York Army National Guard. He received his B.S. from Buffalo State University in 2002 and his juris doctor from University of Buffalo School of Law.

In his legal practice, Morath is known as a tireless advocate for his clients and has obtained numerous multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements. His commitment to Buffalo is apparent in his efforts to serve his fellow veterans, having been mentor at the City of Buffalo Veterans’ Court and as a board member of Western New York Heroes Inc., an organization that provides veterans, members of the armed services, and the widows and children of deceased veterans with access to essential services, financial assistance, and resources.

Morgan & Morgan attorneys and support staff are currently working in a temporary office space while construction is completed on their permanent space at 50 Fountain Plaza in downtown Buffalo.

“We’re excited to welcome Morgan & Morgan to Fountain Plaza in the heart of Downtown Buffalo,” said Kyle Ciminelli, President of Newmark Ciminelli, the building’s owner. “Their presence adds to the momentum within this district, and we’re proud to have this nationally recognized firm choosing to invest in the future of our city.”

40–50 Fountain Plaza will serve as the home of Morgan & Morgan’s new Buffalo office, located within a landmark two‑tower, Class A complex in the heart of downtown Buffalo’s Central Business District. The 435,000‑square‑foot property features a newly renovated atrium lobby, high‑end amenities such as a fitness center, restaurant/bar, more than 250 underground parking spaces, along with robust tenant programming. Its central location in Downtown Buffalo offers a near‑perfect Walk Score with immediate access to dining, retail, and entertainment.
