The donation will support the construction of a state-of-the-art Center for Women and Families

[Orlando, FL] – Morgan & Morgan today announced a substantial financial commitment to the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida in support of its Foundations Project, a recently launched capital campaign to construct a new Center for Women and Families in downtown Orlando. With this commitment, Morgan & Morgan is the first private donor to publicly announce its support for the campaign. In recognition of the foundational gift, the new facility will be named the Morgan & Morgan Center for Women and Families.

The firm’s support will accelerate the construction of the new Center, replacing aging facilities and expanding the region's capacity to care for women and families experiencing housing crises.

“Orlando is our home, and when we see the people of this community suffering, we view it as our responsibility to help,” said Matt Morgan, Partner of Morgan & Morgan. “The Coalition’s vision for this new center isn't just about constructing walls; it's about creating an environment where families can safely rebuild their lives with dignity. As long-time partners of the Coalition, our family and our firm are deeply honored to stand behind the Foundations Project and support their mission to provide a pathway out of homelessness for our Central Florida neighbors.”

For more than 30 years, the Coalition's downtown campus has served as a critical lifeline in Central Florida. However, growing community needs have outpaced the aging infrastructure. The Foundations Project is designed to create a safe, modern, and family-centered environment that directly answers the realities of today's housing crisis.

"We are incredibly grateful for Morgan & Morgan's enduring partnership and their belief in the vision of the Foundations Project," said Brad Butterstein, President and CEO of the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. "For more than two decades, they have helped strengthen our community and create opportunities for our neighbors experiencing homelessness, ensuring that the individuals and families we serve are met with dignity, hope, and a pathway forward."

The initiative launched in May with unified backing across the community, including critical support from the City of Orlando, Orange County, and the federal government. This public-private partnership will provide $60 million over the course of three to five years to construct the new 105,000 square foot facility, adding 112 residential beds, an on-site health clinic, expanded childcare programs, and new bridge housing units.
