Miami hazing victim hires Morgan & Morgan

One of the victims of the alleged hazing incident that occurred during the pledging process for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. in Miami, FL has retained Morgan & Morgan to investigate the circumstances that led to his devastating injuries.

In April 2026, two pledges of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Richmond-Perrine (FL) Alumni Chapter were allegedly subjected to days-long hazing, including being beaten repeatedly with canes and paddles. The reported injuries were so severe that one of the victims required extensive medical treatment with prosecutors describing it as potentially fatal. Last week, the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office filed charges and arrested three men in connection with the incident with attempted manslaughter with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and hazing with a deadly weapon. One of the suspects is a Secret Service agent in Florida and was placed on administrative leave, according to a statement from the agency.
