In celebration of World Oceans Day, Morgan & Morgan’s St. Augustine and Jacksonville offices teamed up with the non-profit Matanzas Riverkeeper for a beach and park cleanup event. This initiative, held on June 8th, was a tremendous success, with about 30 dedicated participants who helped make a significant impact on our local beaches.

Our team, alongside volunteers from the community, worked together to collect over 25 pounds of trash. The most common item we found was cigarette butts, highlighting the ongoing need for awareness and education regarding littering and its effects on our environment.

One of the standout moments of the event was the incredible support we received from Seaside Church. Steve Earle, an attorney in our St. Augustine office, reached out to his contacts at the church, and without hesitation, around 10–15 members joined our efforts. Their enthusiasm and hard work were invaluable and helped to make our cleanup a huge success.

This event marked our best cleanup yet, demonstrating the positive impact we can achieve when we come together for a common cause. We are grateful to everyone who participated and made this day a success. The dedication and hard work of our volunteers are what made this event truly special.

We look forward to organizing more cleanup events in the future and continuing our commitment to environmental stewardship. If you are interested in hosting a cleanup in your area or want to get involved in future events, please reach out to our field team at amygallagher@classaction.com.

Together, we can make a difference and ensure our beaches and parks remain beautiful and pristine for generations to come.
