Morgan & Morgan Takes Personal Injury to the Runway at New York Fashion Week
Injured?
America's Largest Personal Injury Law Firm Partners With Designer Lawrence Cooper to Take Injury-Inspired Fashion to the Runway
(New York, NY) – Morgan & Morgan, America’s largest injury law firm, is heading somewhere you probably wouldn’t expect to find a personal injury lawyer: New York Fashion Week.
On September 10, the firm will debut The Slip & Fall Collection, a five-look runway collection that transforms the world of personal injury into fashion – taking the objects, environments and unfortunate moments Morgan & Morgan encounters every day and reimagining them for the runway. The collection takes things associated with being hurt, vulnerable, or recovering, like gauze, hospital gowns, braces, torn clothing, and burns, and turns them into things associated with confidence, expression, and power.
Presented at Sony Hall as part of NYFW opening-night programming with Runway 7, the collection continues Morgan & Morgan’s tradition of showing up in unexpected places and finding new ways to put personal injury into the cultural conversation.
The collection was created in collaboration with designer Lawrence Cooper, whose background spans fashion, footwear, material and live runway production, including work developing concepts for global sportswear brands such as Nike and PUMA and training in tailoring at international couture houses.
Together, Cooper and Morgan & Morgan created five distinct looks inspired by a world the firm knows all too well:
- Hospital Gown: The unmistakable institutional aesthetic of medical wear, reimagined for the runway.
- Dog Bite Denim: Torn and reconstructed denim inspired by the aftermath of an attack.
- Ember: A dramatic interpretation of fire, burns, charred textures and flame.
- Black Ice: A dark, sleek look inspired by one of the road’s most invisible and unpredictable dangers.
- Gauze: Medical wrapping elevated into layered, sculptural fashion.

"Morgan & Morgan has spent decades showing up for injured people across America,” said Morgan & Morgan partner Dan Morgan. "Every look in this collection is inspired by real injuries and moments that change people’s lives. We wanted to convey the message that an injury can happen to you, but it doesn't have to define you. By partnering with New York Fashion Week, we are able to raise awareness of these common and life altering injuries, but also remind people that our job is to secure justice for them when they’re hurt by others’ negligence.”
“We’ve made it our business to go where law firms haven’t gone and collaborate in ways they haven’t before,” said Carlos Wigle, Chief Creative Officer at Morgan & Morgan. “From sports and entertainment to culture and now fashion, we’re blazing a new creative path for the legal industry. The Slip & Fall Collection is exactly that: an unexpected collision of personal injury and culture designed to make people stop, look and think.”
The Slip & Fall Collection will be on display as part of NYFW programming through The Bureau's opening events and shows beginning September 10.
