[Birmingham, AL] – Morgan & Morgan, America’s largest injury law firm, has named veteran trial attorney Ashley Peinhardt to lead its Medical Malpractice group in Birmingham. In this role, Peinhardt will also try medical malpractice cases nationwide on behalf of the firm.

“We’re proud to welcome Ashley Peinhardt to Morgan & Morgan as the head of medical malpractice in Birmingham,” said John Morgan, founder of Morgan & Morgan. “When a hospital or doctor makes a preventable mistake, families are left with more questions than answers, and they’re often up against institutions with deep pockets and big legal teams. Ashley has spent 16 years fighting for answers and justice for those families. She’s exactly the leader we need to run this practice in Alabama.”

Peinhardt brings more than 16 years of plaintiff-side litigation experience in medical malpractice, birth injury and catastrophic injury cases. A dedicated trial attorney, she handles every stage of litigation, from depositions and case preparation to developing trial strategy. Peinhardt is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL), both invitation-only organizations recognizing distinguished trial lawyers. She also holds several leadership positions within the legal profession, including co-chair of the American Association for Justice’s Birth Trauma Litigation Group, chair of the Alabama Association for Justice’s Women's Caucus from 2025 to 2026, commissioner of the Alabama State Bar and Birmingham Bar liaison to the Alabama State Bar.

“Medical malpractice cases can have life-changing consequences for patients and their families,” said Peinhardt. “Families deserve a lawyer who will take the time to understand what they have suffered and has the ability to try the case if that’s what it takes. Morgan & Morgan gives me the resources and a commitment to trials that will allow me to do that for more people across Alabama.”

Peinhardt earned her Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law, where she received a Certificate in Trial Advocacy, and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. She is an Adjunct Professor teaching Trial Advocacy at Cumberland School of Law.

Morgan & Morgan continues to strengthen its medical malpractice group, which represents patients and families harmed by preventable medical errors, including misdiagnoses, delayed diagnoses, missed strokes, surgical errors, medication mistakes, and birth trauma.
