Weā€™d like to congratulate yet another of our attorneys at Morgan & Morgan! For the second year in a row, The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 organization has honored Derrick R. Connell for his exemplary service in the legal field. The Top 40 Under 40 is a distinguished list of the top trial lawyers from each state or region under the age of 40.

Derrick is the Managing Partner of our office here in Melbourne. He is a native of Lanier County, Georgia, and graduated from Stetson University College of Law with a concentration in trial advocacy after earning his MBA from Stetson in 2009. While in law school, he was a two-time National Trial Champion and a winner of the National Civil Trial Competition.

At Morgan & Morgan, Derrick focuses on personal injury law, with an emphasis on wrongful death, product liability, and automobile accident cases.

Derrick is no stranger to accolades for his professional work. Last year, he was cited by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel as being in the top one percent of practicing attorneys in the United States. In 2014, he was granted the Judge T. Mitchell Barlow Young Lawyer Award by the Brevard County Bar Association.

This appointment to the Top 40 Under 40 marks the second time that he has appeared on the prestigious roster. Membership onto this distinguished list is extended to attorneys under the age of 40 who exhibit exemplary qualifications in terms of leadership, persona, and trial results. Congrats Derrick!
