The following data breaches have been announced this week—make sure you’re in the know.

Kemper Corporation

Kemper Corporation recently suffered a data breach, which was announced on April 15, 2026, when the ransomware group ShinyHunters posted alleged Kemper Corporation files on its dark web site. The hackers allegedly stole 29 GB of Kemper Corporation data from the company's Salesforce account, which may include:

  • Internal corporate documents
  • Employee training materials
  • Employee names
  • Email addresses
  • Stripe payment logs containing customer names and transaction amounts

DocketWise

DocketWise recently suffered a data breach around October 2025, when an unauthorized party accessed and copied private, sensitive information from its network, including:

  • Full Name
  • Social Security Number
  • Address
  • Date of Birth
  • Driver’s License Number
  • Financial Account Information
  • Health Insurance Information
  • Medical Information

EMPIRE Distribution Inc.

EMPIRE Distribution Inc., a music company, experienced a data breach on July 7, 2025,  and affecting approximately 4,700 individuals due to unauthorized access to internal systems. Compromised data included: 

  • Full names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Bank account numbers 
  • Other sensitive information
