The following product recalls have been announced this week—make sure you’re in the know.

 

Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Swabs, Zicam Nasal AllClear Swabs, and Orajel Baby Teething Swabs

Church & Dwight Co., Inc. is recalling some Zicam and Orajel products because fungi could be present in the items’ cotton swab components. The recalled products include all lots within expiry of Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Swabs, Zicam Nasal AllClear Swabs, and Orajel Baby Teething Swabs to the consumer level. Microbial contamination can potentially present a significant risk to the health and safety of consumers including serious and life-threatening blood infections

 

2024–2025 Mazda Miatas

Mazda is recalling 12,244 of its 2024–2025 Miata vehicles due to a safety hazard. The affected models have traction- and stability-control systems that might not properly behave and certain warning lights may not display.

 

2016–2017 Ford Explorers

Ford Motor Co. has recalled more than 492,000, 2016–2017 Explorer models due to a risk of crash from safety hazards. The exterior door trim on the driver and front passenger side may become loose or detach while driving.

 

Skywalker Pro Via Ferrata Sets, Skywalker Pro Turn Via Ferrata Sets and Skywalker Pro Via Ferrata Packages

Mammut Sports Group is recalling its Skywalker Pro Via Ferrata Sets due to a risk of serious injury or death from a fall hazard. The carabiner can be opened without engaging the safety latch.

 

RYOBI 40V 24-Inch Cordless Hedge Trimmers

TTI Outdoor Power Equipment has recalled the RYOBI 40-Volt 24-Inch Cordless Hedge Trimmer due to a laceration hazard. The hedge trimmer blade can unexpectedly activate after pressing just the safety or trigger control individually rather than engaging the safety and trigger controls simultaneously.

 

Manual Retractable Security Pool Covers

Endless Pools is recalling its Manual Retractable Pool Covers due to drowning and entrapment hazards. The recalled pool covers can leave a gap of more than 4.5 inches between the cover roller and the pool surface when installed incorrectly by the installer.

 

Anker PowerCore 10000 power banks (model A1263 only)

Anker Innovations is recalling more than one million Anker Power Banks due to fire and burn hazards. The lithium-ion battery in the power bank can overheat.

 

Oliver & Smith 6-inch Mattresses

Agro Superior Group has recalled its Oliver & Smith Mattresses due to the risk of serious injury or death from a fire hazard. The recalled mattresses violate mandatory flammability standards for mattresses.

 

Giraffe Highchairs

Bugaboo North America is recalling its Giraffe High Chairs due to a risk of serious injury or death from a fall hazard. The legs of the chair can detach from the frame if the screws connecting the legs are not properly tightened during assembly.
