The following data breaches have been announced this week—make sure you’re in the know.

The Institute of Culinary Education

The Institute of Culinary Education suffered a data breach on or around May 5, 2025, when an unauthorized threat actor gained access to certain systems and copied files containing information relating to current and former students and other individuals. Information at risk may include: 

  • Names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Dates of birth
  • Driver’s license numbers
  • U.S. alien registration numbers

Silver Summit Medical Corporation (SSMC)

Silver Summit Medical Corporation dba Digestive Disease Center and Heart Vascular & Leg Center (“SSMC”) suffered a data breach between November 27, 2025, and November 30, 2025, when a third party accessed one of its third-party vendors' networks. Personal or protected health information was acquired without authorization, and the potentially compromised information may include:

  • Names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Other sensitive information

Quantum Health, Inc.

Quantum Health, Inc., suffered a data breach between May 29 and June 1, 2026, when an unauthorized party accessed and acquired files from certain Quantum Health systems. The information potentially compromised includes: 

  • Names
  • Health insurance information 
  • Medical and health information (treatment information, diagnoses, prescriptions, provider names, and dates of service)
  • Dates of birth
  • Email addresses
  • Physical addresses
  • Telephone numbers
  • Demographic information
  • Social Security numbers
