The following data breaches have been announced this week—make sure you’re in the know.

The Oncology Institute

The Oncology Institute (TOI) recently suffered a data breach that compromised sensitive patient information. The breach was first disclosed to the SEC in November 2025 but wasn't formally announced until May 20, 2026. According to corporate disclosures, the data accessed by the unauthorized third party includes highly sensitive personal, financial, and medical information:

  • Full names
  • Addresses
  • Dates of birth
  • Social Security numbers 
  • Health insurance member numbers and Medicare beneficiary numbers
  • Medical history, including demographic health information, diagnoses, and prescriptions 

DocketWise

DocketWise suffered a data breach around October 2025, when a threat actor cloned third-party partner repositories using valid credentials. The breach compromised the personal, financial, and medical information of over 143,000 people, including:

  • Names
  • Addresses
  • Dates of birth
  • Social Security numbers
  • Driver’s license numbers
  • Passport and government ID numbers
  • Financial account numbers and credentials
  • Payment card numbers and access information
  • Tax identification numbers
  • Health insurance policy numbers,
  • Medical condition or treatment information
  • Username and access information for non-financial accounts
