The following data breaches have been announced this week—make sure you’re in the know.

American Lending Center Holdings, Inc. 

American Lending Center (ALC) experienced a major ransomware attack affecting 123,158 individuals. The breach occurred in July 2025, but a delayed investigation concluded in April 2026. The breach involved sensitive, compromised data, including: 

  • Names
  • Dates of birth
  • Social Security numbers

San Diego Family Care

San Diego Family Care (SDFC) suffered a data security incident in December 2020 that may have affected personal and protected health information for up to 125,000 patients and employees. The following personal and protected health information may have been compromised in the incident:

  • Names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Government identification numbers
  • Financial account numbers
  • Dates of birth
  • Medical diagnoses
  • Treatment information
  • Health insurance information

Ampex Data Systems Corporation

Ampex Data Systems Corporation suffered a major cyberattack on March 30, 2026, when the notorious ransomware group Play claimed responsibility for breaching their systems. Personal and confidential information may have been accessed, including: 

  • Names
  • Addresses
  • Social Security numbers
  • Dates of birth
  • Driver’s license
  • Banking information

Southcoast Health

Southcoast Health reported that it suffered a data breach on February 16, 2026, when an unauthorized party accessed and copied certain information from its network.1 The data breach involves sensitive confidential information, including:

  • Names
  • Social Security numbers
